Used to have an old tape (long since lost) that contained a version of "Satisfaction" and included Bobby doing the following goofy (but fun) raps:

"...not one little piece--not one little FRACTION!"

and "You can try...you can tr-uh-try...Scream and twist and beg and cry, but you aint gonna get no...(Brent: "no satisfaction)..."

I've searched Satisfactions in the archive but can't find this exact version, which really rocks and I think is the best the Dead ever played...

anyone have an idea of which show this might be from? (Sorry i don't have much more to go on than the clues provided.)

Yes indeed!

Thanks a ton for helping me recover this tune. Reminded me that the 2nd encore Baby Blue is pretty great as well...

10/10/82 was the day I got married (first time around) and it sounds like I would have been better off being at this show! I am going to download and enjoy!

Speaking of Satisfaction, my favorite verson is the one from RFK in '86 (7/7?) where Bobby introduces the band. After Bob finishes introducing everyone Jerry yells in the mic, "One of my favorite people in the whole wide world, Mr. Bob Weir!"

I was at that RFK show, and the Bobby's intro's haunted me later that week when Jerry was in the hospital. That was close to being the last show, and last song, and would have been an odd but appropriate way for things to have ended. Every show after that was certainly played on borrowed time.
